In 2024-2025, I led the development and execution of three online courses on integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence into the classroom:
- Break Through AI Bias to Analyze and Create Media
- Outsmart AI to Spot Misinformation and Evaluate Sources
- Partner with GenAI to Elevate Authentic Student Voice
I also led in-person and online workshops on GenAI for education, including for the California School Library Association and the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
I helped draft and author KQED’s “Guidelines for the Responsible Use of Generative AI,” also known as the “Creator Compass for GenAI.” These guidelines offer a practical framework for any educator to use when considering whether and how to use GenAI tools in their teaching.
