Touring the Bay with the Cal Academy Public Programs and Youth Programs Teams!

On Friday, the youth programs team was invited to participate in a fun outing with the public programs team from the Cal Academy. About 20 of us from both sections met up in Tiburon, California for a sunset cruise around the San Francisco Bay.

It was a spectacular trip reminding me of the incredible natural beauty of the California coastline. And it was good to celebrate with our colleagues from Public Programs, who do so much important work engaging with our visiting public to our museum. Public Programs includes our science presenters (staff who engage our visitors with short talks, demos, and experiences on the museum floor), and our docents managers (the team the corrals the hundreds of volunteer docents who present science stations and interactions with the public).

Here are some of my pics from our boat excursion.
