“Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs” Opens at Cal Academy

I'm excited to share that our newest exhibit, "Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs" is now open at the California Academy of Sciences!

It's a really neat exhibit that focuses on pterosaurs, on a group of flying reptiles that were the first and largest vertebrates ever to take flight. Not dinosaurs, they are close relatives of them, living alongside dinosaurs during the Mesozoic Era. The smallest ones could fit into the palm of your hand, and the largest was a large as a jet!

Check out this neat promo video for the exhibit.

A highlight of the exhibit are two flying simulators. Not to brag, but I'm a pretty good flyer.

I couldn't resist getting this adorable baby pterosaur stuffed animal in the gift shop. I predict they will be selling a lot of these. And makes the best pocket square ever in my jacket.

"Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs" is on view at the California Academy of Sciences through January 7, 2018.
