As a teen, I wrote a column for our local newspaper the Tri-valley Herald about life at our little high school on the hill. I knew then I wanted to work in journalism!
Today I’m so proud that I actually work for the public media station KQED. While not on the news side of the company, I do get to be a part of our efforts to provide the public with high quality information that they need to fully participate in civic life. And with the COVID-19 crisis, our work is more important than ever.
It’s been a long ride to get here, but I finally made it. Don’t give up on your dreams, kids!
