Attention all educators, artists, scientist, facilitators, and otherwise generally awesome people. The California Academy of Sciences’ Youth Programs is looking for the perfect person to help lead our Teen Advocates for Science Communication (affectionately known as the TASC Force) program as the new Assistant Manager.
What is the TASC Force? Well, TASC is one of four flagship youth education programs at the Academy and is exploring the intersection between art and science. TASC Force is composed of youth volunteers who produce and implement innovative public programs for the Academy’s 1.3 million annual guests. Some of the youth created programming include theater productions, acoustic ecology, game shows, specimen collections, and flash mobs. What will be next?!
We’re looking for a results oriented person to join a high energy, hard working and fun loving team that values youth development and creative thinking. The position oversees 1-2 part-time employees and is a key member of the Careers in Science/TASC Force team and Youth Programs.
