As part of my duties as head of Digital Learning at the Cal Academy, I have been leading up a series of internal meetings on digital badges for learning. It's been a really great experience and I've definitely learned a lot. Many of my colleagues have been really curious and excited about the potential for digital badges to spur engagement, learning and action by our various constituencies we work with.
I wrote up an interim blog post about digital badges and the Cal Academy for the CSTEMBE blog. CSTEMBE is a STEM digital badges project involving a dozen or so youth-serving organizations in Chicago and New York that I've been participating in.
