Announcing My New Adventure: KQED Online Learning Manager

I’m thrilled to announce that starting in mid-January, I begin a new position at the public media outlet KQED as an online learning manager.

KQED serves the people of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media. They provide citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions; convene community dialogue; bring the arts to everyone; and engage audiences to share their stories. They help students and teachers thrive in 21st century classrooms, and take people of all ages on journeys of exploration—exposing them to new people, places and ideas. How cool is that?

As a longtime listener and supporter of KQED, getting to work for them is a dream come true.

I will share more about my specific work with KQED’s education department and my role as the online learning manager, once I’ve started in the position.

Meanwhile, I send to give a heartfelt thank you to the small army of people who have supported me these past six months during my job transition. I’m just blown away by how many people came out of the woodwork to offer advice, connections, services, and encouragement on a daily basis. A special shout out to my friends Hanah, Susan, Barry and Eve who all stepped up for me in a big way. You alls are the greatest.
