KQED Education 2024-25 Report highlights KQED Teach and the PBS Certification

The KQED Education 2024-25 school year report is out! I’m so proud of our successes this year, including my work managing KQED Teach (pg 12) and the PBS Media Literacy Educator Certification (pg 13).

KQED Teach was reviewed in the spring by researchers from the National Association for Media Literacy Education who found that 90% of surveyed teachers found KQED Teach courses “very effective.” Nearly 3,500 certificates of completion were awarded to educators last year!

The PBS Media Literacy Educator Certification was sunsetted in June 2025. During the course of the program, 3,414 microcredentials were issued to educators, each one signifying media literacy instruction delivered to students across the United States. And 181 teachers and librarians were honored as PBS Certified Media Literacy Educators.
